Doctor Code of Conduct – Medical Cannabis

This Code of Conduct applies to all medical practitioners engaged via South Afri-Can
platforms.

It supplements HPCSA Ethical Rules and does not replace them.

1. Ethical Conduct
   Practitioners shall act ethically, independently, and in the best interests of patients at all
   times.
2. Cannabis Prescribing Standards

• Cannabis may only be considered where clinically appropriate.
• Prescribing must never be influenced by commercial considerations.
• Section 21 requirements must be followed where applicable.

3. Conflicts of Interest
   Practitioners must disclose and manage conflicts of interest.
